PROPOSALS
Beyond excited you are ready to propose to your person. Now what?? Here’s how we document a proposal without your significant other finding out.
01
WHERE TO BEGIN
Let’s choose the location (if you don’t have one in mind already). Would a spot in nature best reflect the perfect proposal? Generally people appreciate a private spot for your big moment. Somewhere with an amazing mountain view or even on the historic grounds of the Biltmore.
02
TIME OF DAY
80% of proposals are done in the morning. I highly suggest this option for a few reasons. 1 – this helps with the nerves (image having to hold this in all day!) 2 – less chance of plans changing throughout the day. I will be in place 15 minutes early just in case but most proposals are late rather than on time. Remember it can be hard getting to a place/time without the other person knowing why they have to be there at that EXACT time. I plan for this so that you are not stressed out!
03
PHOTOGRAPHER IN PLACE
We have three options for how I photograph your proposal.
1 – I pretend to be a tourist taking photos around the area. I keep my side eye out for you to go down on one knee. Once you do – I turn my camera and snap away!
2 – I pretend to be a tourist but you ask me to take your photo with your phone. Once I take one with your phone you can turn and propose and I’ll switch over to my good camera.
3 – You tell your person you have set up a photo shoot with me. Half way during the photo shoot we will have a code word and you can propose during the photo session.
04
PHOTO TURN AROUND TIME
One reason my proposal photography is so popular is because I return your finished images SAME DAY. This lets you share the news with everyone about your announcement without having to use a cell phone picture.
05
FINAL DETAILS
I will ask for a recent photo of you both. This helps me identify what you look like. The day of, I will ask for the color of your shirt/pants to really help identify you both. You wouldn’t imagine how similar people look from far away!
06
PRICE
I charge $300 for your proposal photo session. This includes the proposal and up to 15 minutes afterwards. You will receive all edited images delivered through a digital gallery.
